Paul has an honours degree in law, history and politics and obtained a distinction in the Solicitors Finals Course. He was the winner of the Law Society Prize for outstanding academic performance in his year. He became a partner of the firm in 2001.

Paul is a full member of the Employment Lawyers Association and acts for both employers and employees on a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious issues including the drafting of contracts, employment tribunals and drafting and advising on Settlement Agreements (formerly known as Compromise Agreements).

Together with Richard Satyanadhan, Paul specialises currently in company law matters including share sales and purchases, buy-outs, Shareholder Agreements (both drafting and in relation to litigation surrounding them), EMI’s, EOT’s, EBT’s, partnership disputes and the drafting of commercial contracts, and documentation relating to the contstution of companies.

Paul also deals with personal injury claims and professional negligence cases and general civil litigation and employment law disputes. These include both contract and commercial disputes.

Paul has been a visiting Post Graduate Lecturer in advanced litigation for business law and practice, personal injury and solicitors accounts both at the Birmingham City University and also the University of Law in Birmingham.

Paul acts in a wide variety of disputes in the County Court, High Court and the Employment Tribunal including the Court of Appeal case in the widely reported dispute of Akici v LR Butlin Limited.
